Historical Photos

In the 1930's Walter and Alma Green, grandparents of Sharon Asmus, current Silver Lake resident, rode the train from Chicago to spend weekends on Silver Lake.  Sharon's research of family photographs and her memories as a child, tells a story of her Dad, Bob, coming to the lake with his Mom, Aunt and cousins.  The rental property consisted of a farmhouse and resident chickens.  The photos appear to be taken from the west side of the lake.
